The International program of inter-comparison of measurement techniques of GHG fluxes

An international program has been associated to the current project on the GHG emissions from the Petit Saut reservoir. This program concerns the inter-comparison of measurements techniques of GHG flux used by different research teams which work on reservoirs. This project led to two field campaigns on the reservoir of Petit Saut : in May 03 (high water) , December 03 ( low water). In addition to the current project team working at Petit Saut, Canadian (Hydro-Québec) and Brazilian scientists ( COPPE, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro) took part to this program. Both experiments were followed by a workshop to present and discuss the (positive) results of the inter-comparison. This workshop was held at the Centre de Recherches Atmosphériques de Lannemezan (France) from 8 to 10 march 2004.
